Progress on #96
I have resolved the sticking check valves, and lack of draft on #96.
Seems there were no pick-up tubes higher than the floor of the tender, and no screens to keep dirt from entering the water lines.
The hand pump was pulled and re-built, along with the axle pump. These both seem to be working great at this time.
The firebox needed supports for the grate, and the ashpan re-positioned. This was a huge improvement on draft.
In addition, the seal between the boiler and smoke box was open...this has been corrected as well.
Valve timing is now within tolerance, but needs some fine tuning. Hopefully, we can get this right.
(Jam nut on valve rod came loose, and valve rod spun in valve guide retarding the valve timing.-Fixed!)
